language technique: Metaphors

.The poet has used metaphors to put images into our heads and uses different things to describe what the day is like, “this morning is a sand castle”

.this is saying that the morning shows some of the same qualities as a sand castle but it is not saying that it is a sand castle.

this gives the effect that everything is not as it seems because the whole poem is strewn with similar metaphors.
